For the second time in 2010, AC Transit is considering a service cut. On March 28, 2010 the transit agency cut roughly eight percent of its service by eliminating or consolidating routes and removing stops. It is currently eyeing an additional service reductions of another eight percent by cutting service across the board, on weekends, or after 10 PM.

On May 26th, 2010 the public will have the opportunity to comment on the proposed service reductions during two sessions to be held at 2 PM and 6 PM at the AC Transit administration building, 1600 Franklin St. in Oakland.

In addition, the agency is accepting comments online, via email, by phone, and by postal mail.
