Although automobiles are the largest smog source, you can also cut pollution by avoiding the use of aerosol personal care and cleaning products and postponing painting projects and garden tasks that use gasoline-powered equipment. If you’re planning a barbecue, start the coals in a chimney or with an electric starter instead of with lighter fluid. There are tons of other simple yet creative ways you can help.
The Spare the Air season begins in June and runs through October each year.
