Ever vow you’d lose 10 pounds in 3 months, then realize you spent 3 months only thinking about it? How about that closet you were going to organize?Here’s your chance to follow through with a pledge. It’s a little different, in that you’ll get a chance to win $50 every month. Intrigued?

It’s simple. We’ve come up with a list of 15 easy things that you can do as a commuter that will limit emissions. Pick three things that you will to pledge to follow through with, and we’ll enter you in a monthly drawing for $50.

Who knows? Maybe completing our pledge will give you the confidence to commute car-less.

Two checks mean that some combination of activities will get you 2/3 of the 3 pledges you need to graduate from our program.

Fine print: New and currently-registered participants who sign-up to pledge to use a minimum of three (3) emissions reduction strategies for the purpose of commuting to work will be included in the monthly random drawings. Random drawings will be held on the last day of the month or the next business day that follows. Winners will be notified within five (5) business days of the drawing by email and/or phone. Winners have 72 hours from the time of the initial email or phone notification to reply to 511 Contra Costa.

Pledge form submittals must be accurate and complete to participate. A complete pledge form includes a minimum of three (3) emissions reduction strategies, a full first name (no initials), last name (no initials), home city, home zip, a valid email address and a daytime phone number, employer name (no initials), work address with unit/suite number, work city, and work zip. Work addresses with P.O. Boxes do not qualify. Prize will be mailed to participants approximately 2-4 weeks from the date of confirmation with winner and information verification. Eligible participants must live or work in Contra Costa County.

Promotional Guidelines and Disclaimer: 511 Contra Costa has the right to terminate this program with or without notice at any time for any reason. All information supplied by the participant shall be correct, current and complete. 511 Contra Costa has the right to refuse pledge forms and/or discontinue participation in the program, including the right to withhold the prize, if 511 Contra Costa staff/representatives believe that the participant has failed to meet the eligibility or participation guidelines. 511 Contra Costa reserves the right to contact you to verify the information provided. If a dispute arises regarding any aspect of the program, regarding interpretation of the rules, accuracy of the information, or eligibility to participate, 511 Contra Costa will be the final decision-maker regarding such a dispute and all decisions will be final. The $50 prize winners grant 511 Contra Costa the right to use his/her name, photograph, quotes and / or likeness for promotional purposes.
