Anyone living in District III is encouraged to apply to be appointed to an opening on one of several advisory committees.
Advisory committees meet regularly, and offer their recommendations on county policy. County supervisors consider the opinions of their advisory committees when making key decisions.
District III comprises the cities of Antioch, Brentwood, and Oakley, and the unincorporated communities of Bethel Island, Blackhawk, Byron, Diablo, Discovery Bay, and Knightsen.
Countywide Bicycle Advisory Committee

To provide input to the County and the cities of the County on bicycle projects for Transportation Development Act (TDA) funds to construct bicycle/pedestrian projects and also provide advice to cities and the County on bicycle planning matters. The Countywide Bicycle Advisory Committee will meet once a year on the second Tuesday of December (December 13, 2011) to advise the County and the cities on which projects should be a priority for application of Transportation Development Act funds.

Advise the Board of Supervisors on fish and wildlife issues in Contra Costa County. The Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. located at the Road Maintenance Division lunch room (squad room) – 2475 Waterbird Way, Martinez CA 94553.
