What is SchoolPool?
SchoolPool is an established school access program which offers free, introductory public bus passes for Central and East Contra Costa County students to encourage the use of buses to commute to and from school. The program application period runs from August – September each year.
This will help reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in the community by reducing the number of trips made by parents driving their students to school.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Parent/Guardians must pledge to have their student take the bus for his/her school commute instead of driving student to and from school.
- Students must be registered in 6th – 12th grades.
- Schools must be located in Central or East Contra Costa County: (communities of Antioch, Bay Point, Brentwood, Byron, Clayton, Concord, Martinez, Oakley, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, and Walnut Creek).
- Agree to complete a follow-up survey to determine the effectiveness of the SchoolPool program.
Program Rules:
- Punch passes available for up to two (2) students per household on a first-come, first-served basis while tickets last. This is a one-time offer.
- Falsifying any information on the application will disqualify you from the SchoolPool program.
- SchoolPool and 511 Contra Costa reserve the right to make any changes to the program and to the eligibility requirements and program rules at any time without prior notification.
