Pleasant Hill Summer Youth Bike Challenge 2015 – A Great Success!

This year, 511 Contra Costa held it’s first-ever Pleasant Hill Summer Youth Bike Challenge (SYBC). From June 1 to August 29, kids were encouraged to explore Pleasant Hill by bicycle, checking off destinations on their Challenge card as they went.
Not only were participants able to get free stuff through out the summer, like Jamba Juice, kettle corn, froyo, and swim time at Pleasant Hill Aquatic Park, everyone who submitted a completed Challenge card was in the running to win an iPad Mini. Now that the summer is over, it’s time to announce the winner. It is…
The Vensko Family! Here’s what they had to say about the Summer Youth Bike Challenge:

“We had so much fun as a family biking around our town for these little adventures. Some places we knew of and some were new to us. Fostering a great sense of community and pride in our town of Pleasant Hill. Thank you!”

Congratulations to the Vensko Family and our sincere thanks to everyone who took part in the SYBC. You helped make it a huge success! We’re thrilled with the level of participation we saw from both children and families.
If you’d like to give feedback on the Summer Youth Bike Challenge (including a desire to see it return), please send an email to hello@511cc.org.
