511 Contra Costa Awards Bicycle to Dallas Ranch Middle School Student

Rhyan Fulcher, a student from Dallas Ranch Middle School was the grand prize winner of a new bicycle for pledging to walk and bicycle to school during the month of October. walk and Roll Bike winner

Mr. Fulcher’s name was drawn at random from a group of 40 students who turned in travel diaries logging their walking and cycling trips to school. Approximately 160 students pledged to participate in the Walk and Roll 2 School Program and 40 returned trip diaries.  Festivities also included an informal rally on October 7,  International Walk and Bicycle to School Day, and a breakfast to celebrate student participation in the Walk and Roll 2 School program at Dallas Ranch Middle School.

Walk and Roll 2 School was organized and funded by 511 Contra Costa as part of their Safe Routes to School program.
