Laura Davis: Contra Costa Bike Commuter of the Year
Laura Davis of Concord is Contra Costa’s 2018 Bicycle Commuter of the Year! Laura bikes to work every day to her job as a nurse practitioner at Muir Orthopaedic Specialists and Kaiser Permanente in Walnut Creek and San Ramon.
Laura is the epitome of somebody who thrives and takes everyday fitness and the environment seriously. She rarely skips biking to work, even when it’s dark out and she needs a light to ride, or so cold that she needs to wear ski mittens! She also knows every dog on her commute path and looks forward to seeing them. On weekends she and her husband can be seen riding around town with their beagle, Shasta, in a backpack.
