As part of the City’s Golf Club Road/Old Quarry Road Improvement Project, the contractor will be eliminating one lane in each direction of travel along Old Quarry Road starting this Saturday (8/26), and will be restricting left turn movement into and out of Camelback Road from Old Quarry Road. This traffic control (see diagram above) is needed so the contractor can start demolition and work on the roundabout circle itself at the Old Quarry Road/Camelback Road intersection.

The contractor will also be working on the new median island along the length of Old Quarry Road. The left turn restriction at Camelback Road/Old Quarry Road intersection will be in place until end of October 2017. Residents in the area are recommended to use alternate routes or use signed detour routes.

Students who normally use Old Quarry Road to access DVC campus are strongly recommended to use Golf Club Road or Viking Drive to minimize delay. Buses along Old Quarry Road have already been detoured onto Golf Club Road until the project is complete.
