Celebrate San Ramon's new "BARK and Ride"

Two- and four-legged pedestrians: welcome!
It’s not often that commuters and dog-owners share good news, but San Ramon’s “Bark and Ride” is working to change that.
The new combination 50-space park and ride and 4.5 acre dog park is at the corner of Bollinger Canyon and Stoneleaf Road. Though it officially opened March 9, the grand opening celebration will be August 2 from 5:30 to 6:30.
“It’s a piece of property that would otherwise have had limited and restricted use given its long, linear shape under power lines,” Karen McNamara, the city’s interim parks and community services director told the Patch. “That parcel in particular lent itself to not only being a park site, but the coupling of the two together for a parking area for commuters.”
This is the fourth dog park in San Ramon.
The park also has easy pedestrian and bicycle access, bicycle storage lockers, two dog park areas for small and large dogs with both people and canine drinking fountains, picnic tables, benches and trees.
