Highway 4 Corridor (State Route 4)

Description

Spanning almost the entire width of Contra Costa County, California State Route 4 is an east–west highway which begins in Hercules and ends in Antioch. The road is an expressway from Hercules until it approaches Martinez, at which point it becomes a full freeway – the California Delta Highway. Tracks for Bay Area Rapid Transit run in the median of the freeway from Concord to Antioch.
