511CC is having a homepage photo contest and we’re taking submissions through December 15. Winning submissions will be featured on our homepage (replacing the current image of a winding road) with a credit to the photographer and/or link to your website.

Photo guidelines
Whether you consider yourself an amateur or pro photographer, as long as your photo is related to travel (even better if it was taken in Contra Costa county!) we’d love to see what you’ve got.
In particular, we’re fond of photos with the following subjects, in no particular order:
- Biking
- Transit
- Walking
- Carpooling or vanpooling
- Air quality
To enter our contest, make sure your photo measures at least 713 x 282 pixels. If you have access to a photo editor, please crop and/or scale your photo to exactly 713 x 282 pixels before submitting. Images any larger or smaller than 713 x 282 pixels will need to be scaled or automatically cropped in order to fit.
Submission options
There are a number of ways to submit your photo for consideration.

Winners will be notified via the method they submitted sometime in early January, 2013.
