Caltrans removing soundwall on western side of Caldecott Tunnel Fourth bore (2013)

Caldecott Tunnel soundwall, painted and completed

During the week of June 3, 2013, and continuing for approximately the next three weeks, Caltrans will begin work to remove the temporary soundwall located on the western side of the Caldecott Tunnel FourthBore. The temporary soundwall has been up since the fall of 2010.
During this work, Caltrans will keep neighbors on the western side of the tunnel informed of any parking restrictions or traffic impacts which may occur.

In addition to the excavation of a 3,400-foot-long tunnel north of the existing three bores, the $402.1 million Caldecott Fourth Bore Project includes traffic improvements on the eastern and western sides of the tunnel.
