Tips for Walking, Biking, or Rolling to School
☑ Wear bright colors and apply reflective tape to backpacks, jackets, and bikes.
☑ Use crosswalks, and make eye contact with drivers before crossing.
☑ Stop, look: left-right-left, listen.
☑ Bike on the right side of the road.
☑ Keep cell phones in backpacks to stay alert and be aware of traffic.
☑ Live too far to walk? Drive part of the way, and walk the rest! Allow your child to build independence, walk with friends, and reap the health rewards of exercise before school.
