Free Telework Workshop

511 Contra Costa in partnership with U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau is hosting  a free workshop on ways to implement a Telework Program and/or Compressed Work Week schedules at your worksite. International Expert on Telework and Compressed Work Week Schedules.  Workshop presenters include Elham Shirazi, international expert on telework and compressed work week scheuldes and Jenny Erwin, U.S. Department of Labor Regional Administrator, Women’s Bureau, Region 9 will discuss Flex-Options.
Where:  Community Room, 100 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill, CA
When: April 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm.
Lunch will be provided.

  1. 4-Day Work Weeks were once a function of Compressed Work Weeks or flex hours, in which employers allow employees to flex their hours in exchange for a three-day weekend. Now companies and agencies are using the four-day work week as a furlough. For some employees the news comes as a shock but some find that with scaling back on personal expenses, the time off allows more time for family and friends.
