Caltrans has scheduled early morning closures for eastbound Interstate 580 between 1 and 4 a.m. from Sunday, Oct. 17 to Friday, Oct. 29.
The eastbound freeway lanes will be closed at Airway Boulevard. Traffic will be detoured onto local streets heading east on Airway to Portola Avenue and North Livermore Avenue, then back onto the freeway.
According to a press release, Caltrans crews will be building temporary support structures for the future I-580/State Route 84 interchange at Isabel Avenue.
Closures in the westbound direction of I-580 are expected to take place from mid- to late November.
