The Contra Costa Transportation Authority is updating the Countywide Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan and they need your input. The Plan will help coordinate local plans for bicycle and pedestrian networks and help the Authority better understand where and how often people walk and bike. The last update to the Plan was in 2009, so your comments and ideas on how the new plan should look are vital. With plans to expand East Contra Costa service in 2018, BART is conducting a study to identify projects to improve access to stations for pedestrians, bikes, vehicles and transit. Bike to Work Day is May 11! If you’re not a regular bike commuter, here are some tips to help you get ready to ride: 1. Make sure your bike fits you properly. Bike size, saddle height and forward/backward position and handlebar height all play key parts in making you comfortable on your bike.
